Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours! I had fun creating our Christmas card this year using Design Aglow borders and watercolor stamps from Creative Market. Creative Market offers free fabulous downloads every week that are definitely worth checking out! Some basic knowledge of Photoshop is required, but there are so many tutorials available that it's not too hard to learn a new skill here and there. To light the photo I used an off-camera flash unit with an umbrella to diffuse the light, a reflector, a tripod to mount the camera and of course, the trusty self-timer. The Canon 6D has a very cool new feature allowing you to take photos remotely. The camera itself becomes a wireless access point and you can take photos from your iPhone, controlling the ISO, shutter speed and aperture. I hadn't figured that out yet at the time of this photo, but I will definitely use that feature if I attempt to take our own family photos next year! I posted some hilarious outtakes of this shoot on Facebook. (This is a shameless invitation to "Like" my Facebook page if you haven't already.) In another lifetime, maybe I would have become a graphic designer. I loved creating this card! Happy New Year!
